Dr. Sam graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from a college in South Africa in 2004, after a 6 year course of study, and was immediately immersed into the exciting world of chiropractic by being offered a position at Sir Richard Branson’s private game lodge, as a part of their wellness centre. This then later led to him accepting the honor of being a pioneer of Chiropractic practice on a cruise ship. On board the Queen Mary 2 he got to meet and treat many clients from over 120 different nationalities, including many Hollywood celebrities and members of the Royal family. After 6 years at sea, traveling around the world and meeting his beautiful wife, Julie (an Aussie) it was time to return to land. He was offered a position in Malaysia with a health care company as their Director of Clinics, which involved the overseeing of the companies Spine and Joint clinics. At the time of Dr. Sam’s leaving Malaysia, the company had built up to 14 state of art clinics, with a substantial staff force. He was also involved in many television and newspaper interviews during his time there; presenting many health care lectures and writing many magazine articles, including being on the Men’s Health magazine board of health care advisors since 2013. In addition to the obvious chiropractic aspects of his practice, Dr. Sam has special interests in musculoskeletal dry needling, spinal decompression therapy, therapeutic laser and extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT). He moved back to Melbourne in 2016, with Julie, his wife and daughter, Miyah, to settle down, and is really excited about working as part of the team, making a difference in people’s health and wellness, as an owner of Physimed Health in Surrey Hills.

Dr. Aaron graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. Proficient and experienced in various chiropractic techniques, he served in Malaysia since 2010 and has worked with thousands of clients across all age groups.  He is well loved by his patients and is also a sought after speaker for chiropractic and wellness both locally and internationally. Dr. Aaron was also instrumental in setting up and sitting on the board in the professional regulatory body for Chiropractic in Malaysia called the Association of Chiropractic Malaysia (ACM). Currently he is an owner of Peak Chiropractic, enjoying being part of the team helping people get out of pain and stay out of pain.


Dr. Aaron has also started up and been the managing director of several successful chiropractic practices. He has, because of his professionalism, always been a trusted member of the society and community, and this is demonstrated by his inclusion in a panel of experts which gives expert opinions in health care related court cases. 

In addition to being fluent in English, Dr. Aaron is also fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay. 

In his spare time, Dr. Aaron loves to whip up gastronomic dishes and has also participated in several cycling and duathlon events. He aims to overcome his fear of the water and take part in a triathlon soon.

Dr. Anthea Holder,

Dr. Anthea Holder was a chiropractic patient from the age of 16, and because of this experience became a Chiropractor herself. She graduated from RMIT in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Applied Clinical Science and a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science in 1999. Chiropractic is a five year full-time university double degree. Since that time she showed a special interest in Family Wellness Chiropractic care and has studied for her Wellness Certification, is certified in Webster Technique (a technique to help expecting mothers) and Applied Kinesiology.

Dr. Anthea Holder has a strong interest in food and cooking. In her spare time she is often found in her kitchen creating new healthy recipes or researching the latest information on the benefits of a clean, real-food, based diet. She herself has had a journey of weight loss and health gain and loves helping others, so they too can experience the same benefits of a healthier body.

Co-creator of the Peak Wellness Program she has presented her principles of health to many public speaking events around Melbourne, community groups, schools and businesses.

Dr. Anthea Holder is married to Frank and they both enjoy spending time exercising whether it being in the gym or outside, hiking, pushbike riding and motorbike riding. She is dedicated to offering people choices about their health and lifestyle through sharing her knowledge of Chiropractic and living a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Leigh is an experienced chiropractor with local and overseas experience. He is a 1997 graduate of the RMIT Chiropractic program. In addition, he graduated in 2017 with a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Sydney with a keen interest in injury epidemiology, prevention and research. 

Leigh first experienced Chiropractic through treatment of sport injuries as a teenage sprint & long jump athlete. Leigh’s Dad had found relief for chronic back pain through Chiropractic treatments and so introduced the whole family to chiropractic care.

He has worked in south-east Melbourne for the past five years with a practice focused on spinal conditions and sports injuries. He has previously worked as a pioneer chiropractor in Malaysia, developing skills in the treatment of acute and chronic spinal complaints as well as complex cases involving multiple conditions. He worked alongside Dr Sam and Dr Aaron in bringing chiropractic and musculoskeletal treatments to thousands of people in Malaysia.
Leigh utilizes a mix of hands-on care and technologies  in caring for his patients. He combines a range of spinal manipulation techniques with soft tissue massage, exercise,  posture and self-help advice; he has a special interest  in decompression therapy for spinal conditions (eg. Disc, sciatica) and extra-corporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) and LASER therapy for the treatment of soft tissue injuries. He has assisted many long term knee pain patients  with unloader knee bracing for knee osteoarthritis. 
In his spare time, Leigh is a keen participant in road cycling, golf and building Lego architecture models.

Dr. Ben Cheong,


Dr. Benjamin had recently graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia.


From being a patient of Chiropractic himself, Dr Ben is passionate about helping the community of pain relief. After graduating as a certified Food Technologist from Monash University in 2013, he had injured himself during a martial arts training. Through his best friend’s recommendation he sought to recover with Chiropractic therapy. Amazed and inspired by the rate of his recovery and the practices used, he was aspired to join Chiropractic profession.


Understanding the discomfort of having pain and not finding the true source, he made a goal to ease and eliminate the problem.


Additionally, Dr Ben has a keen interest in Chiropractic Neurology, headaches, neck and back pain. He has has adapted a range of spinal manipulation techniques with therapeutic treatment modalities such as; therapeutic laser, extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) and spinal decompression therapy.


Growing up in culturally diverse Malaysia, he is fluent in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, Cantonese, and Hakka.


In his spare time, Dr. Benjamin enjoys making coffee (he has the prestigious title of 2nd highest rated barista in Victoria from a recent competition) and playing the drums.

Alex Van Der End,

Remedial Massage Therapist/Dry Needling

Alex's background is as diverse as it is interesting. Before turning to remedial massage therapy, Alex worked for 16 years in Law Enforcement with the Australian Defence Force and Victoria Police through the Department of Justice.  He has also run a number of other successful businesses, including as an Insurance Agent and Financial Advisor, Print Broker and Online Retailer. 


In each of these endeavours, Alex has sought to improve people's lot in life.  Alex now brings this same approach and passion of helping people through his massage techniques.  Whatever the issue you may have, Alex will attempt to get you the most out of a professional and quality massage.  Whether you need deep tissue, dry needling, cupping, paediatric, sports or pregnancy massage, Alex has the right massage touch for you.


When not massaging people, Alex continues to assist students entering the industry.  He also is a Director of the Massage Association of Australia and training to be a pilot.  One of his plans is to set up a new organisation that flies allied health care workers into remote hospitals or communities to improve the health care provided around Australia.  He is also currently finishing a book to be published on the treatment of Lower Back pain.

Sophie loves working with people, and as a result, she is aspiring towards a career in healthcare. She is currently studying Doctor of Medicine at Monash University and the favourite part of her day is talking to patients. She feels privileged to be welcomed into their lives and is just as grateful for the interactions she has with the lovely patients at Physimed Health.


Her role at Physimed has taught her more than she had ever anticipated, especially regarding the importance of a holistic approach to wellbeing. And she hopes that these valuable insights will make her a better clinician in the future.


Sophie also loves working with children, and is extremely passionate about her volunteer work with communities of low socioeconomic backgrounds. Aside from working, studying and volunteering, she loves catching up with friends, travelling and binging on documentaries.

Steph is currently a third year medical student at Monash University, and has been part of the team for 6 months now. She loves being a part of the Peak/Physimed family as it provides lots of opportunities for her to learn how to be a good practitioner, and seeing patients progress through their journey here is deeply meaningful. Furthermore, the doctors and staff here are very eager to teach her new things, and she hopes to continue working with the team in the future to provide holistic treatment to each and every patient. 

Outside of work, Steph also enjoys playing the cello, and has been involved in many orchestral ensembles throughout the years including the Australian Youth Orchestra and Corpus Medicorum. She also has a keen appreciation for art, and hopes to travel all over the world to explore different cultures.

Diana Good,

Clinic Manager

Diana has strong customer care ethic developed through her extensive background in the hairdressing industry. She believes that the most important aspect of life, is striving to have a positive impact on those around her.

Diana is married to Peter and they have two teenage children who are both keen athletes. Through their love of sport, she has developed a strong interest in health, nutrition and wellbeing.

In 2014 she completed a Diploma of Remedial Massage which increased her interest in allied healthcare and furthered her desire to see people live a healthy, pain free life.

Her favourite pastimes are long walks along the beach or spending an afternoon at the football with her family, who are all mad keen Richmond fanatics!

Melanie Ferreira,

Melanie has a keen interest in alternative as well as allied healthcare.  Time and time again she has seen its positive, lasting benefits on her very active family, and in patients at work.

Melanie has an Advanced Diploma in Remedial Massage, and a Diploma in Bowen Therapy and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).

She enjoys bushwalking, reading and baking, and loves being part of a friendly and caring team at Physimed.

Crystal Kwok, Clinic Administrator

Crystal is motivated through her childhood experiences of numerous uphill battles against injuries and illnesses, she is passionately pursuing a career within healthcare to be able to improve people’s quality of life like so many have done for her. The rare opportunity to work alongside the doctors at Physimed Health and being able to see how the doctors assist patients inspires and excites Crystal to one day be able to do the same for the people in need. Crystal is currently doing her Bachelors in health science majoring in nutrition.


Outside of Peak Chiropractic, Crystal loves playing the Piano, playing since she was 6, Crystal has now achieved grade 8 in her AMEB. When she’s not getting the opportunity to travel and experience all different restaurants, Crystal also enjoys spending her time volunteering at churches and retirement villages.

Zoe is currently in her final year of a Masters degree in Communications at Deakin University. She is enjoying being part of the Peak Chiropractic team after working in the dental industry for the past 3 years. Zoe loves working with people, and appreciates working within the health industry seeing clients grow and accomplish goals through different treatment methods. Zoe’s role at Physimed has provided her with a holistic view toward health and wellbeing, and she is excited to continue to learn and grow within the industry applying her knowledge of communicative practices toward healthcare. Outside of work Zoe has a passion for Pilates, travel and cooking and loves to spend time with her family, friends and chocolate Labrador, Moby. 

Bianca Woger,
Accredited Dietitian

Bianca studied for over six years at Deakin University completing a Bachelor of Health Sciences, with an honours year in Food and Nutrition Sciences. Following on from this, she completed a Master of Dietetics in 2019.

Bianca has been an accredited practising dietitian (APD) and DA (Dietitians Australia) member since graduating in 2019 and remains committed to continued professional development as dietetics is a constantly changing profession!

Bianca has wanted to work as a dietitian since she was 15, when she had personal contact with a dietitian and she fell in love with the profession and the use of food as a source of nourishment.

This passion continued as she watched family members struggle with lifestyle and nutrition related chronic illnesses, and she wanted to help to improve the lives of others to prevent the development of life-threatening illness. 

During her studies Bianca worked with clients across varied clinical areas, developing a proficient knowledge in areas such as malnutrition, general medical, post liver transplant patients, rehabilitation, diabetes, weight management, oncology and gastrointestinal surgery.

Bianca has a special interest in cardiovascular health, and women’s health, specifically nutrition during pregnancy, and gestational diabetes. This interest was developed during Bianca’s time at a women’s hospital where she was exposed to working in the NICU, pregnancy clinics and gestational diabetes group education.

Bianca’s favourite food is olives, and in her free time she loves reading a good book, the beach, baking sweet treats and spending time with her loved ones.

Her main philosophy is to make each client feel comfortable, confident in managing their nutrition and nutrition related conditions and for her clients to feel supported in making these changes.
