Digital X-ray facilities

X-Rays are still images (similar to photography) that allow our team to see through the skin at the underlying bones and soft tissues for signs of any abnormality.

X-Ray technology has come a long way since the 1920s, when X-Rays were first used for medical purposes. We can proudly say that we are using the very latest technology in Digital X-Ray systems. This not only helps the speed of the examination, helping you get on with your day faster, but also reduces your radiation exposure by up to 30%.

Diagnostic Ultrasound

Musculoskeletal. Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to produce pictures of muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints throughout the body. It is used to help diagnose sprains, strains, tears, and other soft tissue conditions. Ultrasound is safe, noninvasive, and does not use ionizing radiation. The areas which are best suited to diagnostic ultrasound for our purposes are: the shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, knee and foot. The great advantage of using ultrasound is that joints can be seen in a state of movement which will often clearly show the pathology. The before and after findings can be compared very nicely after some treatment has been completed.
